‘It snows in Kyushu?’

Unlike Hokkaido, the south of Japan is quite protected from the cold.
So when we were told there’s a blizzard developing on our way to Oita, it was half-fear, half-excitement.

It was white as we drove in, and within a day everything cleared up.
